Goldeneye

So I picked up this little beauty while I have been away in Spain. This is Kiko’s Vibrant kohl waterproof pencil in Golden Beige. The creamy consistency is very much like Avon’s Supershock eyeliner and its great for blending and applying around your eyes as its so soft. Retailing in the UK at ÂŁ5.20, its a reasonable price for a top notch product. It’s definitely worth checking out the whole range of eyeliners as they are high in pigment and have a low price tag which is all good in our book. Use alone or as part of a more dramatic look!

Natural Look for Black Skin

We have a tutorial coming up starring my beautiful friend Jess, which has given me some great practice on applying and mixing foundation on black skin. My new palette purchase from PAM (by Mandy Gold) has allowed me to play with different colours to even out the skin tones and create warmth in darker areas.

We decided to go for a subtle evening look using golds and guilded greens, which I’m sure you will agree really suits her. It’s more of an understated, natural feel. Just a touch of glamour without her having to feel like she was caked in makeup or having to use really bright pigments.

Stay tuned for our video…

Green with Envy

This weeks bold look is being tried and tested by a beautiful redhead 💁

As we really wanted to try ingenious powder eyes by RMK, I decided my friend Polly could rock this better than us! So we reluctantly handed it over …and this is what she had to say…

‘This is a beautiful colour eyeshadow with a lovely texture. You can use it conservatively for a hint of misty mint or layer up for a more intense shimmery green. The sparkles make it very pretty, but its not too overpowering. Very wearable during the day.’

It’s very pricey at ÂŁ20 so test before you buy!! RMK – SH-06

Pretty in Persia

This weeks bold colour look was Nars eyeshadow in Persia. This is a great matte orange paprika colour, perfect for making blue eyes pop! At first I applied with a eyeshadow brush and the colour looked a little transparent, so I decided to apply with my finger for more coverage and then blend out with a brush for a more intense look. This eyeshadow would also work well as a eyeliner mixed with a little water and applied with a brush. The Verdict? The colour is vibrant and wearable but if you are new to strong colours then apply in layers to decide how wild you want to go!
