Here’s the list of products Fran used on Jess in our latest video.
Mandy Gold makeup palette from PAM – this is great to have in your make-up kit especially if you work on set as it’s so quick and easy to work with.
Concealer/Lip/Cheek Palette from PAM – another great item to have in your kit as it’s a multi-purpose product.
MAC Signed Sealed eyeshadow – discontinued (sorry!) but Shadowy Lady is similar but not as dark. When you’re working on darker skin tones, you can use darker eyeshadow colours for a natural look.
MAC Tempting eyeshadow. Fran chose this pretty golden toned eyeshadow to add a bit of glamour to Jess’ makeup look. I love this shadow so much as it’s really flattering on any eye colour!
NARS Corcovado Soft Touch Shadow Pencil – Fran used this as a highlighter in the inner corner of her eyes. With darker skin tones you can use more golden shades to highlight rather than silver shades.
Avon Supershock Gel Eyeliner – we absolutely love these pencils as they’re so easy to blend and have great pigment to them. This is ‘Khaki’ a shade that suits pretty much all skin tones and eye colours.
Giorgio Armani Blushing Fabric 01 – we have never come across a blusher like this! The texture is unique, it feels really silky when you apply on the skin and blends very well. We recommend this to anyone who doesn’t like powder blusher and can’t get on with cream blushers.
Sleek Pumpkin Blusher Palette – Sleek make great products for darker skin tones and the prices are reasonable too! Fran used a little powder blusher over the top of the Armani one just to give a bit more oomf.
Guerlain Shine Automatique 263 – these lipsticks by Guerlain are really moisturising and give a nice amount of colour to the lips. I actually have some of these in my own makeup bag and they don’t dry my lips out like MAC lipsticks do.
So there you have it, I hope you found this useful and as always, if you have any beauty related questions, you can always tweet, facebook or instagram us! L x
If you’re a keen youtube viewer then you’ll have noticed how many ‘celebrity inspired’ make-up videos there are! So, here at MadeUp we thought we’d try another one out as Fran has already done a Kardashian one so this will add to the collection. I really enjoyed making this video as I would never usually wear this much make-up so it was fun experimenting.
We really wanted to find a wig for this video but we didn’t have time, however, we did try spraying my hair black but it was such a disaster Rich had to go in really close for the intro shot to try and hide it! It was another really fun filming day but we did eat pizza AGAIN!
Fran did a beautiful Rita Ora and Taylor Swift and I did a Zooey Deschanel so lots more videos to come…
Summer is back, maybe only for a few days but isn’t it nice?! The rays inspired me to write this post about some of my favourite sunscreens. I took this photo whilst on holiday in Spain earlier this year.
Remember, it’s really important to protect your skin from the harmful rays to minimise your risk of developing skin cancer. If we protect our skin from a young age it can stop premature ageing.
Green People SPF 15 Sun Lotion is a nice non sticky suncream that doesn’t irritate your skin as it has no fragrance. My skin can get quite sensitive in the sun so this is a good option for anyone with sensitive skin.
La Roche Posay SPF 50 Tinted Fluid is a tinted lotion with high protection. This is great as it doubles up as a tinted moisturiser and instantly absorbs into the skin. It’s a fluid texture so it’s not heavy on your skin and you can wear make-up over the top. They also do a non tinted version.
Lancaster Sport SPF 30 Stick is good to use on smaller areas where we sometimes forget to apply sunscreen – lips, ears, back of neck. It’s a cream and a stick so a good multipurpose product.
